Akron Football Concludes Spring Ball with Blue and White Showcase

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron football program capped a successful spring campaign with the annual Blue and White Spring Showcase on Friday, April 25 before an energized crowd at the Stile Athletics Field House.

Akron's marching band Ohio's Pride was in attendance and provided the soundtrack of the spring showcase, while fans had the ability to get a sneak peek at the 2025 team.

The Akron football team used a combination of practice and scrimmage situations to showcase the 2025 squad. The Blue and Gold started with spring drill session by position groups and a 7 on 7 segment before the third and final scrimmage of the spring season.

Akron will kick off its 2025 campaign at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field on Thursday, August 28 against Wyoming. After the home opener, the Zips season will continue with a pair of road games against Nebraska (Sat, Sept. 6) and UAB (Sat, Sept. 13) before returning to Akron to play Duquesne on Saturday, Sept. 20 to complete the non-conference schedule and enter #MACtion.
