Baronette Named MAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week

MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
CLEVELAND, Ohio – University of Akron sophomore Tysean Baronette (Middletown, Dela.) was honored by the Mid-American Conference as its Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday (May 1).
Baronette captured the men's 200 meters at the Len Paddock Invitational in a career-best time of 20.46, the third-fastest time in outdoor program history. His performance stands as the 23rd-best clocking in the NCAA this season and is the top-rated time in the MAC.
He also finished the 100m in a career-best time of 10.37. Additionally, he ran the lead-off leg on the winning 4x400 relay.
