CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Akron Zips golf program landed a league-best six student-athletes on the Mid-American Conference All-Academic list, the league announced on Thursday.

In all, 47 women's golf student-athletes from 10 conference institutions were recognized, including Akron's sophomore Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio), sophomore Riley Dean (Lewis Center, Ohio), sophomore Jessica Hahn (Canton, Ohio), senior Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio), junior Jacinta Pikunas (Youngstown, Ohio) and junior Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India).

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests and/or completed at the league championship in the particular sport. Akron's cumulative grade point averages were through the conclusion of the 2021 Fall semester.
