AUSTIN, Texas - University of Akron track and field junior Jacqueline Pokuaah (Akron, Ohio) registered a school-record mark of 44-4.75 (13.53m) en route to winning the women's triple jump to headline the Zips' performances at the Texas Relays on Friday, March 25.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Pokuaah's performance stands as the No. 3 mark in the NCAA this season and bests the former school record of 42-7.50 (12.99m) set by Arianda Ramos Gandia in 2016.
• Junior Nuh Andu (Doha, Qatar) placed fifth in the men's high jump eclipsing 6-10.75 (2.10m).
• Sophomore Dimitrije Novakovic (Belgrade, Serbia) finished sixth in the men's long jump with a mark of 23-8.75 (7.23m).
• Senior Hesham Eldesouky (Nasr City, Egypt) placed ninth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 50-11/15.52M).
