What was the deciding factor that brought you to UA?
An opportunity to advance in my profession at the Division I (FBS) level.
Â
How has your position changed over the years?
The resources available and methods of operating are constantly changing. Communication within our program is much easier, the process of setting up travel has simplified, and overall organization of team information are all areas that have become more efficient.Â
Â
What are your current responsibilities?
The day-to-day operation of our football program, including overseeing the budget, coordinating travel, managing housing and dining, team scheduling and overall organization. I serve as the primary liaison for Coach Arth and the football program to all areas within the athletics department.
Â
What have you learned during your time on campus?
The University of Akron has great people. Our staff and the entire athletics department are wonderful and make life easy for me with their willingness to work together.
Â
Do you have a favorite memory to share?
Being a part of the 2015 Idaho Potato Bowl, the first bowl win in Akron's history. The entire trip was an amazing experience.
Â
What advice would you give to a college student who wants to pursue a career in collegiate athletics?
Seek out opportunities to gain experience. Build relationships. It's not who you know, it's who knows you. Bring energy and positivity in anything that you do. Don't sit back and wait to be told what to do, be proactive.
Â
What makes you most proud to be a Zip?
The opportunity to assist in the development of student-athletes and have even the slightest bit of impact on their lives. Â
