HILLSDALE, Mich. – The University of Akron freshmen Andre Bollam-Godbott (Brunswick, Ohio) and Lindsey Scarton (Berea, Ohio) led the efforts of the Zips on the final day of the Hillsdale College Gina Relays on Saturday, April 28.

Bollam-Godbott and Scarton each posted seventh-place finishes in the men's and women's 1,500 meters crossing the line in 4:03.20 and 4:47.07, respectively.

Redshirt junior Mackenzie Andrews (Toowoomba, Australia) paced Akron in the women's 800 meters with a time of 2:14.63 to finish 10th, while sophomore Victoria Stachowski (Waterford, Mich.) added a career-best time of 2:16.96 to place 14th. Additionally, sophomore Haley Hess (Curtice, Ohio) crossed the line in the 800 meters in 2:19.66.

The women's 4x400 relay of freshman Leah Recker (Findlay, Ohio), Stachowski, senior Tara Snipes (Covington, Ohio) and Andrews placed fourth with a time of 4:03.88.

The Zips return to competition hosting the Campbell/Wright Invitational on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5, at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex.
