Lexington, Ky. – Senior Makayla Dull (Fremont, Ohio) led the Akron Zips women's golf team scoring during the second round of the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational as the Zips cut three strokes from their previous round for a 613 (+37) two-day total on Saturday.

Dull improved by six strokes in round two, carding nine pars and four birdies en route to a 73 (+1) score. She is currently tied for 39^th overall on the player leaderboard with a 79-73 – 152 (+8) tournament total.

Senior Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) followed in scoring for Akron's second round and leads the Zips' overall scoring with a 74-75 – 149 (+5) total. She carded 15 par scores with three bogeys in the 3-over effort and is tied for 26^th overall.

Sophomore Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio) and freshman Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) are tied at the third and fourth spot for Akron with a pair of 158 (+14) 36-hole scores. Pearce tallied rounds of 78 (+8) and 80 (+8), while Shah recorded rounds of 81 (+9) and 77 (+5). Rounding out Akron's scoring is junior Allyson Wentworth (Stewartsville, N.J.) with a 77 (+5) and 82 (+10) rounds for a 159 (+15) ledger.

Final round action is slated to begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. with the Zips starting on holes 12-15. Fans can follow the action via GolfStat Live Scoring.
