MEN'S COLLEGIATE DUAL MEET RANKINGS (WEEK 2) | WOMEN'S COLLEGIATE DUAL MEET RANKINGS (WEEK 2)

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron track and field program garnered some national recognition for the Zips' efforts this season with a pair of top-20 rankings in the second weekly men's and women's collegiate dual meet rankings of 2016, as compiled by Jesse Squire for Track and Field News.

On the strength of its 82-68 victory over Kent State in a dual meet last Friday, Jan. 22, at the Kent State Fieldhouse, the Zips' men's team moved up to No. 5 nationally.

Sparked by an 80-71 triumph over the Golden Flashes, Akron's women's squad checked in at No. 18 nationally.

The Zips return to action traveling to University Park, Pa., to compete at the Penn State National, Jan. 29-30.
