CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced on Monday that the Akron Zips' contest at neighborhood rival Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 1, will air live on TWC Sports Channel.

The contest at the M.A.C. Center in Kent, Ohio, will tip off at 6 p.m. ET. The contest will be the 26th-consecutive meeting on television between the Zips and Golden Flashes, the longest streak in the MAC between two programs. Akron won two-of-three games last season against Kent State.

The wildcard selection is the second for the Zips this season as Akron's home contest against Toledo on Saturday, Jan. 18, was selected by ESPNU (11 a.m. tip).

The Zips return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 15, when they play host to Miami (Ohio) in their MAC home opener. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. ET.
