Limited Reserved Seats Remain for Upcoming Men's Basketball Games

AKRON, Ohio – Reserved seating for the upcoming matchups between the Akron men's basketball team and VCU on Dec. 29 and Kent State on Jan. 21 is going fast, with limited seats remaining.
VCU (9-3), coached by former Akron assistant coach Shaka Smart, comes to Rhodes Arena following a run to the 2011 Final Four last season. Tip-off for that contest is set for 7 p.m. ET. Fans can purchase VCU tickets as part of a mini plan or via single-game purchases.
Fans will also have the opportunity to hear new Zips football head coach Terry Bowden address the Akron faithful during the game against the Rams.
The Zips (7-5) and Golden Flashes (8-3) renew their rivalry on the court on Jan. 21 following a 66-65 overtime win in the 2011 Mid-American Conference Tournament title game last season. Tip-off for the KSU contests is set for 6 p.m. ET. Tickets to see Kent State are only available via the purchase of a mini plan or season ticket package.
In addition to these marquee games, single-game tickets are also available for the remaining home slate, including games against Ohio (Jan. 14), Toledo (Feb. 1), Eastern Michigan (Feb. 4), Northern Illinois (Feb. 11), Miami (Ohio) (Feb. 15), Bowling Green (Feb. 22) and Buffalo (Feb. 29).
Fans can also purchase the new "Zips All-Access 10-Pack" presented by McDonald's. This unique ticket package includes 10 vouchers, redeemable for general admission tickets to any 2011-12 regular-season home athletics contest for the Zips five ticketed sports as well as 10 buy-one, get-one-free breakfast or lunch/dinner extra value meal coupons at McDonald's – all for just $100.
Tickets can be purchased online anytime at GoZips.com/tickets, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Mondays through Fridays by either calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets).
