Zips Notebook: After not recording an interception in their first five games, Akron has now recorded a pick in each of the last two games ... sophomore Antoine Russell made his first appearance for the defense in his career, recording six tackles ... Nico Caponi's fumble return was the first return and second fumble recovery (both in 2011) of his career ... freshman safety Devonte Morgan recorded a career-high 12 tackles and is the sixth player for the Zips this season to hit double digits in the tackle category (Wagner, 6 times; Williams, J., 1; Wilson, O., 1; Little, 1; Marcoux, 1).
