A consensus top-100 recruit, Marshall is ranked as high as No.
39 by Rivals.com and is the recruiting web site's highest-ranked
player to ever commit to a Mid-American Conference school.
Rivals.com lists him as the No. 6 center in the 2009 class.
Marshall spent the last five weeks on the Akron campus to get a jump on his academics and workouts. He will return to UA in August to officially begin his freshman year. During his senior season at McKeesport High School in McKeesport, Pa., he averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and eight blocked shots. McKeesport HS advanced to the quarterfinal round of the WPIAL tournament.
