Men’s Basketball to Face Ohio on ESPNU on Feb. 26
CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced on Friday that the Akron at Ohio men's basketball game on Sunday, Feb. 26, will air live on ESPNU beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
ESPNU and the MAC picked the contest, originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25, as the 21-Day Wildcard Selection. This will be the second match-up between these two teams on ESPNU as the Zips defeated the Bobcats 68-63 on Jan. 14.
Akron (15-7, 7-1 MAC) sits atop the overall MAC standings and is an impressive 7-2 on television this season, including a perfect 2-0 mark on ESPNU (W, 68-58 at Mississippi State; W, 68-63 vs. Ohio).
The Zips play host to MAC West Division leader Eastern Michigan (10-12, 5-3 MAC) this Saturday at Rhodes Arena beginning at 7:30 p.m. The game will follow the women's basketball game between Akron (9-14, 3-6 MAC) and Central Michigan (12-11, 4-5 MAC), which is set to tip off at 5 p.m.
Tickets for both games are now on sale. General admission tickets for both contests can be purchased for $10 for adults and $7 for youth (ages 3-14). Tickets previously purchased for either game will also be honored. Fans attending the women's game may sit anywhere in the arena.
Tickets can be purchased online anytime at GoZips.com/tickets, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET on Mondays through Fridays by either calling 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S.
