Times for Several Zips’ Football Games Announced

2018 AKRON FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference announced several kickoff times for the 2018 football season on Thursday.
The University of Akron football team will play on national television a minimum of six times.
As previously announced, Akron opens the 2018 season at Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 1. The game will kick off on FOX at 8 p.m. ET.
In the home opener, Akron hosts Morgan State on Saturday, Sept. 8, at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
The Zips travel to Northwestern on Saturday, Sept. 15, for a 7:30 p.m. ET game on the Big Ten Network.
Homecoming is slated for Saturday, Oct. 6, against Miami (Ohio). Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
Akron opens November with its only mid-week game, hosting Northern Illinois on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPNU or CBS Sports Network.
All home games will be played at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field.
The 22nd Marathon MAC Football Championship game will be played at Ford Field in Detroit on Friday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m. ESPN2 will televise the championship.
All other kickoff times and television will be announced 12 days prior to the scheduled game.
Under the guidance of seventh-year head coach Terry Bowden, Akron returns 58 letterwinners, including 15 starters, to its spread offense and 4-3 defense.
Season ticket plans—which include a ticket to all home games and the "I Love the 90's" concert as well as a parking pass— start at only $60 each. As a season ticket holder, fans have the ability to purchase tickets for road games at Nebraska, Northwestern, and Iowa State.

The season ticket renewal deadline is June 15. Payment plans are available.
Group tickets start at $10 each (with a minimum of 15 people).
