INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Akron women's swimming and diving team battled in three different events on Day Three of the 2017 NCAA Championships on Friday at Indiana University's Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.

In the 100 breaststroke, junior Paloma Marrero Munoz (Merida, Spain) placed 35th as she touched the wall in a time of 1:00.77, her second-fastest time of the season in the event.

Sophomore Madison Myers (Akron, Ohio) and senior Luka Szynal (Lublin, Poland) both competed in the 100 back for the Zips. Myers took 34th place with a time of 52.91 and Szynal clocked in at 53.10 to take 43rd.

The quartet of Myers, Marrero, sophomore Sadie Fazekas (Windsor, Ontario) and sophomore Ragen Engel (Springfield, Ohio) finished in a time of 1:38.10 to place 23rd in the 200 medley relay.

The 2017 NCAA Championships will wrap up on Saturday, March 18, with preliminaries set to begin at 10 a.m. and finals slated for 6 p.m. A live stream of preliminary action can be found by clicking here and the finals can be seen on ESPN3.
